nascars lost treasures
here are the top five lost treasures of nascar. if you ever come across these items they would be worth big money.
5). one of richard petty's first cowboy hats worth around 2500 dollars. the kings cowboy look has lasted to this day, but those original hats are long gone. if you find one and have it authenticated good luck.
4). helmets from allison-yarborough fight is worth 30,000 dollars. when this fight broke out all hell broke loose. this was one of the first televised fights of nascar. the helmets went flying and for some reason or another the helmets disappeared.
3). tiny lund's rolex watch worth about 50,000 dollars. when he arrived at the daytona in 1963 with only 18 cents in his pocket and no car to drive. he made a name for himself in sprint cars. he flipped an experimental mserati at the track. he loved giving things away so don't be surprised if that happened. he says he lost it pheasant hunting. lund died in 1975 racing at talladega.
2). checkered flag from the first nascar race worth 500,000 dollars. on feb 15 1963 15,000 took in the first race at daytona. although nascar will live on the fate of that flag is uncertain and more than likely it is long gone.
1). dale earnhardts first race car worth 1 million dollars. believe it or not his first race car was pink of all colors. 56 fords can be found almost anywhere. a 56 ford thunderbird goes for 40,000 dollars: a nextel cup stock car easily commands 100,000 dollars. dale's car would easily bring 10 times that amount.
good luck hunting looking for these treasures.

unusual stories
story number one.
a man who gave a beggar $1 was punched in the face because the recipient wanted more money, police said. the recipient, dissatisfied with the offering, punched the victim twice in the face and said: "one dollar is of no use to me. give me five or six dollars." the victim ran and called police. officers arrested a suspect who was being held in lieu of $35,000 bail.
marin independent journal 6 jan. 2010
what only $35,000 bail is of no use to the government, so each beggar should give $35 billion.
story number 2
doctors in the peruvian city of cajamarca say they removed 1.5 pounds of metal from requelme abanto's stomach, including nails, coins, and rusted copper wire and scrap metal. the 26 year old construction worker ate the metal for months, and told peru's channel 9 television that he may now do it in public "as sport".
san francisco chronicle
if accepted by the olympic committee, it might solve the world's junk problem.
story number 3
moldova's army is feeding its soldiers onions and garlic to help them ward off swine flue. onion and garlic are traditional remedies in moldova.
san francisco chronicle
also gagging their enemies, not to mention.

personal check unsigned here's what to do
do you have a personal check that is unsigned. here is what you do and follow this to the letter.
1) first print the word "OVER" where the signature would be required
2) second, on the reverse, print the words, "LACK OF SIGNATURE GUARANTEED". print your company's name, your name and your title.
3) third, then sign.... pretty simple!!!!
4) fourth, you are basically guaranteeing the bank that you will take back the funds if the check is not honored! pretty cool...huh?

steve forbes flat tax
under the flat tax system that steve forbes came up with here is the breakdown. this would save six billion hours each year filing tax forms. also save 200 billion dollars. the current tax code and the sixteenth amendment does not apply to what it is today. here is the breakdown:
1) the tax rate would be 17 percent on personal income and corporate profits
2) there would be generous exemptions for individuals: $13,200 for each adult and $4,000 for each child or dependent, plus a $1,000 tax credit for each child age 16 and under.
3) a family of four would pay no federal income tax on its first $46,165 of income
4) the capital gains tax would be eliminated
5) the alternative minimum tax would be abolished, as would the real estate or "death" tax
6) companies could expense all investments at one---- no more depreciation schedules.
steve forbes says that the flat tax would unleash an economic boom that would be stupendious. that's largely because the flat tax would encourage hard work and productivity, as well as corporate expansion and investment. this would create $56 billion more in new government revenue than the current tax code. this would create major additional assets and create more jobs to the market. other countries have used the flat tax system especially in parts of eastern europe. russia instituted the flat tax and seen revenue double. hong kong has a variation of the flat tax for the last 60 years.
for skeptics what would you rather do. file a postcard return or file your taxes under the current tax code. see for yourself what would be better in the long term.

news you may have missed
many washington insiders aren't buying the story that d.c madam deborah jeane palfrey ("jean") hanged herself. jean kept a "little" 46lbs black book that contained the names of over 10,000 clients of D.C's political and business elite. jean proved to be a quite defiant lady who repeatedly threatened to reveal some high-ranking names if cornered. it is rumored that bill clinton and dick cheney are on this list. if true a revelation would have put an end to hilary's presidential ambitions, and given george bush's catastrophic presidency another kick int he rear. only days before her death jean had confided to a friend that she was being followed, and that if she came to grief it would be murdered. strangely, just 3 months previously, a former employee of jean, brandi britton, also commited "suicide" in the same manner and under virtually identical circumstances.
aliens ufoss
on February, 18, 1975, about 10 pm, 12 ufos appeared in the clear sky over washington d.c., with thousands of mystified people watching. about 15 minutes later one of the ufo's a 30-foot, saucer-shaped aircraft with a dome top-left the formation and touched down in a park in georgetown. an underbelly door opened and a human-like man descended. as he walked away from the aircraft he evaporated in front of numerous startled people that were watching. at the same time the alien materialized again before security guards at the White House, where he asked to see President Ford. his request was denied. not taking "no" for an answer the being just walked by the guards toward the Oval Office. after ignoring shouted warnings the guards opeded fire. the bullets just passed through the stranger without harming him. moments later the E.T. walked through the closed door of the Oval Office and stopped right in front of the desk of a terrified President Ford who was working alone in his office. the alien said in perfect english: "President Ford, i am sorry to intrude in such an unearthly way, but i have a message of great importance which must be told. i am a scientist from earth's sister planet venus, which, regardless of earth's postulations, is inhabited by a people (physically) identical to those like yourself on earth. but my mission in being here tonight concerns special knowledge which others in this solar system have elected to give the United States as our chosen custodian for planet earth!" the exact words of the rest of the alien's communication remain classified. however, according to information from insider sources he offered advanced knowledge in various fields unknown to earth's scientists, with one condition attached: "earth must denounce nuclear war!" when the visitor departed he left a light gray oval-shaped object on the president's desk. he said it was a Venusian book, a gift from his people to the people of earth, and that the U.S. Air Force should learn the formula inscribed in the book.
this is the account of just one encounter. there have been 100s of similar contacts between E.Ts and world leaders since the first nuclear explosion in 1945, including at least 60 with american presidents. for more information visit www.onelight.com

teddy roosevelt quotation
"in the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of his creed, or birthplace, or origin. but this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American. there can be no divided allegiance here. any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. we have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, and we have room for but one flag, and that is the American flag, and we have room for but one soul, loyalty, and that is loyalty to the American people.

john lennon quote beatles
our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. i think we are being run by maniacs for maniacal ends, and think i'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. that's what's insane about it.

employees don't pay wages, products do! Henry Ford

if the # 2 pencil is the most popular why is it still # 2?
why do physic's have to ask for your name?
if a smurf is choking what color does it turn?
how do you tell when you run out of invisible ink?
why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle?
what do little birdies see when they get knocked unconscious?
